Tasting winy hall

Beregovo an edge from old times is known the wines and vast vineyards. In times of centuries habitants with care passed traditions of the vine making from a father to the son.

Same before mention about growing of vine in our edge belongs to XIII a century. A large contribution to the vine making was brought in by monks easterly to Hungary and from Poland, which queen Erzhebet at the beginning XIV of century populated the monasteries built by him. Monks in Beregove were not only engaged in the vine making but also sold the wines. A sale and use in his life of wine so spread among a population, that in 1518 king Layosh II gave out a decree the leaders of city in which it was settled them to confiscate wine for monks, if they were illegally engaged in his sale. Interestingly, that they are under an obligation were to give away the confiscated wine got hold thus poor habitants cities.

The vine making in our edge even had the law, ratified in 1625th a prince Betkhlen Gabor, in which vine-makers obligated to careful attitude toward vineyards, observance of the mutual understanding between itself and respect of the religious pointing.

The special attention from old times was spared and to the observance of quality of wine. For example, in 1741 th, to the Jewish population which at that time was engaged in the wholesale buying up of wine and quite often was proved guilty in a fake, forbade to buy and sell wine on territory of Beregovo.

Already in 1874th in Beregovo founded Center of Realization of Wine which in 1901 th in Lvov had the representative office and shop.

About the uniqueness of Beregovo wines so wrote at the beginning of past century in one of Czekhes magazines (A magazine is "Vine, Wine, Fruit", 1930.):
"you can travel all Europe, but such keen, magnificent, quite continuous row of mountains cropped with a vine you will see nowhere, only in Beregovo, where in length more than a 50 km rastilayutsya vineyards without a single gap in their rows" (Laslo Horvath "History of the vine making of Beredovo edge").

With such historical pas We are glad to offer to Your attention our unique tasting hall, where you can try known far outside our edge local wines, to test the local smoked appetizers to them (on the French consuetude it is certainly accepted to give to wines raw, but, alas, we love meat...) Together with a winy hall dear guests can familiarize by our wine cellar which extends in length on 50 m and cut down in the rock of mountain. At the end of cellar there is one of three springs of our complex with purely clean water.
